The purple!! It is lovely, and will look beautiful on your head.
While the purple IS lovely, I'd go with the basic black...it'll match a lot more things than the purple will. Loooove both, btw!

The black is a classic! Said from someone who considers black, navy and grey a staple. :) Too bad I'm in AZ where I am forced to wear tropical colors because that is all they have for the tourist!

I'm with the 'black' crowd. It will go with so many other things. Plus you can always tuck in some other color feathers/embellishments to change it up in the future.
Male votes are welcomed, as long as they deal with color choice, and nothing else. Yes, it's silly and frivolous. That's the point, silly.

Black all the way! They are both absolutely beautiful and I hope you post pictures of you wearing them!
I say black for the above reasons that you are more likely to re-wear :)
That, and your hair is brown so the black piece wont get lost on your head!
This is not a shy fascinator, so I say be bold and go for it.
I assume Princess Eugenie's fascinator from the Royal Wedding is not available to you...a shame.
